I grew up among believers, I never really had to deal with those that didn’t follow JESUS. So in growing up and getting a job and all, I had to relate with the world.
I used to be the guy that cries when I had to be with an unbeliever, and I can’t change him or her. In my heart, I will be thinking of where they will end up with their decision not to follow JESUS but O well! I sometimes used to feel the people worth loving are those in the Christian fold, the world can take care of itself! But GOD has called us to love other people as well, regardless of their choice in life.
On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised - Galatians 2
We need to be a people known for loving
outside our comfort zone, giving out our time, resources, and making sacrifices for the people around us, not just Christians, but all humans made in the “Image of GOD”.
A gay guy once said to me, “You’re the nicest Christian I ever met”, after we worked on a project for a couple months.
